They inherit money, lots of money from their parents some day..and they want to spend it. Would you like to help in the process? I have 2 first time home buyers buying their first as we speak. They are just the cutest. I hope they will be my customers for their next. Good post, reminds us to slow down and tend to the customers needs.

I remember when my husband and I bought our first house.  Our Realtors were absolutely wonderful about holding our hands, being there when we needed them, explaining everything in terms we could understand and handling all issues that came up for us.  We are forever grateful to them.

Fear is the big part Andrew . This market is filled with it along with the buyer's remorse. I tell every first time home buyer about the trifecta of low prices, artifically lowered mortgage rates and the 8K tax credit... This will probably never happen again.

Don't test the water with your toe...

Are you doing anything to try to get those first time home buyers to use you?

I was thinking about making up a piece of literature about the 8,000 tax credit for open houses.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have found live, narrated complete property videos on the listing AND the area has replaced the open house. The video if done right is the open house available 24-7, not just from 1 to 3 on Saturday afternoon. Videos add a drive thru aspect to the marketing splash.
