You're a large auto maker... or a maine baby robins eating, mooers realtylarge anything...then the economy slackens. Your fuel price increases, and making the right product for the times with lots of competition puts you between a rock and a hard place that hurts. When you bleed, you bleed long and hard and corrections and response to the market may not be nimble because you are a giant, a Goliath.  In real estate, large sprawling multi office networks feel the same drain and being a little guy, a David makes weathering the storm way way easier. Why? You have a handle on your expenses and as your income changes, you quickly adjust the daily, weekly, monthly spending immediately.  Is that why the government is in bad shape...just too darn big..and maybe less federal and more state or local government would make better spending houlton maine real estate broker, mooers realty, andrew mooershabits and less waste? When it comes to government. bigger is never better.  Bigger brings more money into the pool, and our politicians finds new ways to spend: more regulations need more regulators.  They get bigger and bigger.  We do not need an elected official to tell us we are in a recession over a year later! WE KNOW IT.  We need to take on the responsibility of ourselves and our communities.  Let the politicians uphold the laws, and try to find ways to give back local decisions to the community.  We will save money and cut back on government at the same time.

Maybe there is a year's lag time between when you know hey...things are messed up and you add two new holes to your spending belt to tightened it more. But politicians may not be in the real world of spending or feeling the pain of the little guy.  We need little guys watching spending....not political hacks.

Bigger is better for business.  You get so big, you make more money as an executive, you can do what you want and if you run into trouble you can get saved.  Get classified as "To big to fail", you get billions from the Government.
