(Picking Up Bull Horn..Feedback Squeal) "Class of 1975 Houlton Maine High School...Where Are You...?"

When you have been out of Houlton Maine High School for a few years (or decades) it is easy to lose track of your classmates.

In school...especially in Houlton Maine where my class of 1975 was 167 students, we all knew each other, saw each other daily, were involved in the communities with each other's families.  Now with the internet it is so easy to stay involved.  The Houlton Maine Alumni website is an easy way to stay in touch! It has interactive  features and Fred Grant explained those to the Houlton Rotary Club this week.  When you update your profile, or add images or do anything to your "corner" the rest of the class can know about Bob's 2nd grandchild that he is pretty proud of, etc. I talked with a mom of two twin boys that were in my class. Peter is in Woolwich and helping distribute the highly addictive, world reknown Mrs Dunster's Donuts in Southern Maine.  His brother Paul is head of discipline at Colby College and he lives in Belgrade.  Paul also took a little bike ride with five folks, three of which turned back on the trek from the Maine Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean..took from May to July.  Now that is something I would like to hear about.  Why don't folks talk?  Because it may sound self centered, or they think who cares or they just get busy and it never hits the front page.  Only folks that know the person or grew up with them might be interested in the events of there lives..but as a classmate..set up a site like this one..or add to it if one exists from your school.  And remember..no running in the halls...or you'll end up in detention.

I'm also a class of 1975 high school graduate, from a school in Northern New York with a total of 68 in my graduating class.  Things were sure different back then, we had no cell phones or internet, we had a party line we shared with about 3-4 farms in the area, and gas was less than $1.00/gallon.  I actually think it was only 49 cents a gallon while I was in high school, or is my memory fuzzy??
