Where we have more wildlife than people. Where you neighbor is four legged, furry, keeps to himself. Take your pick of properties.
I sum it up simply for many out of state real estate buyers. In Maine, divide the property listing prices by three, four or more.
Than what you see when crime, gangs, sirens and heavy multi lane traffic happens round the clock.
I see adds from metro urban areas for $800,000 this, 1.2 million that and have to smile.
Think of all the properties you could buy for structures or raw acreage for that chunk of change.
When the bright lights, big city property promotion announces what a steal this is for just this much money. That is considered not so high priced, but a blue light special. When it is the below the norm compared to other property listings for sale around it.
And all of them in the high priced urban landscape come jammed in like sardines.
Swallowed up by dark shadows of the concrete jungle.
Inches not acres for measurement and space comes at a high price or can not be bought at all.
You have to get that warm fuzzy feeling at a public park.
Where go out after dark, venture into and mugging happens. Hope you did not need the wallet, pocketbook, cell phone or watch, Or treasure it like your life too dearly in the hand it over exchange.
Living in fear. Carrying a taser. Looking over your shoulder. Dead bolts and door chains, security cameras, wire fences like prisons. Not in Maine, the 4th lowest crime state. Where people leave their keys in the car, we don't leave out the interior photos.

Sky high real estate price tags from the nose bleed section hanging off the properties. Not in Vacationland, The Pine Tree State. No sirree. It is kept meat and potato simple, affordable in Maine. Value, lots of space inside, outside. Realistic prices in the what's it worth going in, coming out if a sale is expected. Otherwise don't waste people's time.

The only real estate in Maine staging is if it smells, I can't sell it. So order up a dumpster for the heave ho, there you go. For what's holding the odors, the source of the stench. A eliminate the clutter... there's the door. Out it heads to make room for the property tour.
