Maine Fall Foliage, Not Your Typical Year Color Or Leaf Wise.

The high test colors of Jack Frost when he hits his stride, Maine fall foliage is at a peak in Aroostook County.

This year instead of premature missing leaves blown off trees, or heavy rains that usually combine. To make them detach early, the crowns of Maine hardwood trees are loaded. Like the NBC Peacock to sample in living color. But better than the real thing. maine fall harvest colors lake photo

Greater abundance of  leaves per tree and brilliant colors.

More plentiful arrangments of the shades of fall, Maine harvest time.

Do you ride through  Maine this time of year to sample the colors?

If a new, never done it option is what you seek, try it. Consider the need for a little vacation.

The fall habit of fall foliage leaf peaker countryside tours.

By bus, by car, by bike or hike. This is not your typical year in Maine for the fall color experience.

Fresh air, cleaner water, less people and more wildlife. The state of Maine is all spiffed up, decked out and pretty darn colorful.

Sneak a peak, get to Maine to see the handiwork of the cooler nights, warm days of fall days.

And take home the bounty of the harvest from area Maine farmstands.  Hit a county agriculatural fair.

Hi Andrew  I am so glad to see this beautiful picture of the fall foliage .I have friends who took an antiquing buying trip to Maine this week and they were looking forward to seeing the trees changing colors. One of our other friends told them it was much to early for that . I see they will be enjoying their vacation .

Howdy Andrew, after reading your inviting blog post and that lovely photo I'm reading to move there, just don't  think I can take the snow/ice.

It is a very pretty time of year as a prelude to a very dismal and cold span to follow. If only it wasn't so cold and wet

It is a colorful time of year! In fact, this is my favorite time of year.  I really hate all that "white stuff" that follows.

Gorgeous colors Andrew.  This is one of nature's spectacles that we miss down here in Florida.
