Good morning Andy. The biggest challenge for us, when it comes to log homes, is getting them financed, where there aren't a lot of comps. Normally when folks build them, they stay in then for a long time.

Debbie ... Everyday, not just a fluke, once in awhile.

CA ... Right on the border too!

JP ... Insurance can be a little higher too... because when you have a fire, it is not replace the kitchen wall, the whole side of the home, the purloins of spruce overhead get structural integrity problems and not just a case of adding a portion. All tied together.

GS ... Logs works in the woods that Maine is 91 percent of for sure.

Hi Andrew, I like the wooded areas, as log homes fit right in.  We don't have very many in northern Indiana, but I have seen them spring up in places like northern Michign and the north Georgia mountins, as well a NC, where the trees accent them.  Corn and beens don't fit is as well.
