Lots Of Ways With Social Media To Explain Maine.

social media maine explained photo

I am one big fan of Maine and living here, exposing her natural drop dead gorgeous beauty is something that should not be kept a secret.

Hush hush, not talked about, shared.

If you do not like where you live, move to Maine.

Or play your cards close to the chest and move when the time is right. Because it's your life, you have choices, decisions to make. While that clock of life ticks ticks ticks and the sands shift. Drain from the top to the bottom of the hour glass. Like the one that terrified the little girl with ruby red slippers. That feisty, very verbal, small hyper dog. maine small town parade photo

Don't look back down the road. On the open porch of your rest home during another sunset killing time. Wondering when your meds are going to show up.

And hoping we have cream style corn, maybe pancakes, something easy, sweet to eat for supper.

And then say to your partner if lucky to still have one, leaning over, whispering.

"Geesh Louise, we should have moved, relocated, retired in Maine. "

Too late for that. You are near the end of the movie where the credit's roll bottom to the top.

The theater's house lights dimmer cranks them up, brighter. Everyone puts on their coats.

And you are reminded to please put those empty cans and snack trash items in youtube video logothe appropriate canisters on the way out in the lobby. What makes Maine so different, one of a kind?

Not too many people. And the ones that live in the 108 small towns, only a handful of cities have a good stewardship approach to the natural resources.

Appreciate the four season beauty of the land, water, wildlife and tread lightly. Pass it down in as good or better shape than when the reins were handed over to you. For your care and welcome to maine photoattention, respect and gratitude.

For many it starts out owning a piece of Maine land, something low cost, alright, the "C" word, cheap.

And the desire to remove drama, noise, crime. The pushing and shoving that the urban concrete jungle hustle bustle comes with day in and out.

Where the life ride is a scary blur. Keep your hands inside the car at all times. Checking that safety bar.. did you actually hear it click tightly? Too much worrying. Fretting, hot under the collar and steam out the ears happening. Road rage. Fumbling for your taser. You did not leave it home behind those three dead bolts and the armed alarm did you? That's not living, that's not Maine. And what is the kick in the pants, the spark that drives the retire, move, relocate to Maine heart beat.

Discover what all the hub bub causing the I love mooersrealty flickr photo stream logoMaine lub dub lovey dovey is really all about. The stuff the tourist information brochure left out, did not have room for to share.

Come for a day, end up staying a life time. With no regrets and often the only complaint I hear is 'why did we wait so long Martha?" Maine, don't keep her waiting. Good luck trying to stay away. Once she locks on, grabs your heart. And you are powerless to her unfiltered, natural stunning charms. But don't care in the least. Give up freely any and all resistance. And just stop fighting it, the attraction she radiates. And go with flow.

Andrew two great things in this blog. First Maine is really one of the nicest places to call home. Second you MUST use social media to be successful and spread the word. Yes it takes hours to set all this stuff up but do it folks.

Hannah ... Thank you, come visit, vacation.

Noah ... So true and you have more than a website to tend, lots of channels to feed, weed, water. Daily. Air and food important.

Joan ... You need a vacation, come to Maine. Circle the dates in red on your calendar.

Lou ... You are right. Hey, how many super bowl ads you running? The 30 sec ads Super Bowl ads when this blog post was hunt and pecked were less than this year's 4 million dollars set you back. Plus cost of producing the ad. But look at all those reruns if you do it right and features on all the talk / new shows.

You do love maine, and that is so awesome.  I bet hiking in Maine is breathtaking.

Cindy ... Start small with a Horse Mountain, around 1400 feet high and then work your way up to Mt Katahdin at Baxter Park. Then yearly climb in a couple times and make it a healthy habit with family, friends. Get your kids addicted early on, it lasts for life. You can hear yourself think up in the clouds, away from noise except the wind, the feel of sunshine, moist clouds drifting byto reach out and touch. Hide in. Making your view of the landscape and life change. Whether wearing hiking books or a pair of snow skis, snow shoes. Depending on the "hill". Rocky mountain high is not unique to Colorado, John Denver songs.

Gabe ... Got a spot on a lake all scoped out for you... we'll be ready.

Barbara Jo ... The illustration is the best way to show how the message gets out, but how each platform has a different slant, application. Not set them up and leave them. Not set them up and neck rein them the same way in the marketing barrel race from listing to closing. Promote your area using social media, not just listings. If you want an outside audience. Some 12 time zones away to buy in your area. Also, don't just blog on Active Rain alone and think good enough, done. Don't neglect your other weeding, feeding, watering other blogging channels.

Andrew: Your marketing is so tempting. Who would not want to grab a piece of Maine with your descriptive words of adulation and adoration?

I was once in Maine. It was like 9 years ago. Lake Sabbatus I think was the name of the lake wherein my friend's seasonal cottage was located. Feel free to correct me because I would like to recall the name of the lake. I brought my dogs with me. The cottage is set high up from the water. The house next to my friend's cottage was a log cabin. It was a gorgeous home. It made me dream of owning that actually at that moment.

When I get that big bucks from our friend overseas, I will call you.

Maria ... You are way overdue for another vacation, visit. Don't stay away so long. I know the lake you are thinking sounds vaguely familiar. Sounds like a lake place in Maine is just what the doctor ordered, your heart longs for. I'll start the paperwork, just need a deposit, all your contact info and you'll be in to start enjoying all four seasons. We can get you linked into with an owner financing contract, let's figure out the budget, what down, how much a month! (Smile)

Well Andy, you do the best job of anyone in promoting your home state and I am surprised the state of Maine don't make you the official welcoming rep!

Here in North Idaho we don't have an ocean - but plenty of lakes both large and small - and the same kind of small town, off the roller-coaster life you describe. I don't know how people survive in the big cities.

Posted by Marte Cliff, Your real estate writer (Marte Cliff Copywriting) over 6 years ago

Hi Andrew, what a great promotion for Maine and very well written.  The video is quite something else, amusing.  I haven't made it farther north than Massachusetts.

Posted by Silvia Dukes PA, Broker Associate, CRS, CIPS, SRES, Florida Waterfront and Country Club Living (Tropic Shores Realty - Ich spreche Deutsch!) over 6 years ago

Marte... They forget there is another way, bright stars over head you can see in the country, not so much in town. Small town living is so special, the connection among the people is tight.

Silvia ... Have lots of those examples and so much outdoor eye candy to use to prove the point. All the social media is used differently, slight variations.
