Be grateful for everything you have in Maine.
Real estate listing, selling in Maine takes hard work.
On a Maine farm being raised as a youngster, the entire family learned early on to be content.
To choose to be happy, to stay busy, productive. Depression? Didn't have any growing up...it was chores, working hand in hand with family, and being glad haying was done.
Or picking Maine farm field rocks, corn, strawberries, other vegetables, fruits with other youth was over for another year. Grading dry beans not so bad. Common sense, work ethic stills works, applies in Maine.
Maine weather is something you can not control so you work with it. you learn to be flexible, grateful and work with what you have. Natural beauty all four seasons is what Maine is all about. Here is another Maine weather forecast portal, click here.
You quickly modify plans if weather changes..but you don't sit down, stop...you stay busy, you maintain production on a Maine farm.
You have to to survive.
No weekly pay check...you may have years which are bonanza crops....or ones that you try not to lose too much money.
That is a glimpse at how I was raised on a Maine farm.
With lots of space, wide open all around you.
You dissolve in the outdoors when lucky to spend more than a week a year here on Vacation.
This Maine farm training started early and prepared me for the Maine real estate world. Simple Maine living.
In Northern Maine a real estate broker has to be like a general practioner doctor, handling a variety of cases.
Sure we peddle the little ranch or cape owned by the nice lady with blue hair who makes cookies to die for, have another she coaxes during the listing paperwork process.
But general stores, little diners, apartment houses, and Maine farms/land are part of the mix too. Don't get us wrong...we have a great selection of Maine homes in all price ranges, sizes, locations.
But lakeshore cottages and hunting cabins in Maine are a category where the shelves are never fully stocked the way we would like it.
Northern Maine is a play ground so we cater to those wanting recreational waterfront property.
And growing up on a big property spread, acreage, we are not afraid of four wheeling to the back of that field.
The views, the brooks, the wildlife and access to trails is what many of our internet customers hanker in Maine.
