Maine Real Estate For Sale !

You Could Have Had A V-8, I Mean Active Rain Gold Star But Opted Out.

active rain logo

The creative blogging juices, sometimes the posts just ooze out the ends of the finger tips.

The times when the blog posts are already written inside. Pour out in a flow of recycled electrons like warm honey. But when hunt and pecking on the Active Rain real estate blogging post platform, there is a teeter totter, a dangling set of scales in front of you. As you shape, craft, build a blog post. And in addition to the imagery, the video embeds, the helpful links, you shake and bake some extra seasoning. Sprinkled like moon dust to fine tune the final real estate blogging post product. To hit the target. To land it a spot on the front page search engine index.

And then the fork in the real estate blogging road happens, appears.

And you reach for the tone button. Adjust the bass, treble, remove with EQ the middle mud. If the end all was a gold star feature spotlight, you could smoosh the AR staff behind the desks pinned to the wall at the glass Emerald City HQ in the upper left hand corner of the country. By adopting a bit of a brown nose. Taking on a little Jack Horner stance with the thumb plum pulling. Feathering your cap with something that rubs off on the AR image for blog post fodder spill and splash. For the daily dining on the reader board of what's good today to scan and digest. Where some days it is slim pickings with market reports gaining accolades. Top honors.

Without the extra sprinkle, squeeze of seasoning that tailor makes the blog post to have a little slant to your brand, your hyper local area. Where you list, twist and peddle properties.

So instead of the gold star, you opt for branding, promotion and linkage to other work on this and other platforms. Down shifting and venturing off road, away from the AR information highway alone. Taking the high road off road. For the points, blue ribbons outside the playground. The sandbox not just colored in shades, hues that match the blue and gold AR logo. active rain blogging logo

Have you ever written an Active Rain real estate blog post and wired it with a little more local TNT charge, did not water it down to get the gold star?

Instead had another agenda in mind to help bolster some other channels in your media stream? Like not being valedictorian by taking the harder college accelerated, advanced harder courses. That are not weighted for the more difficult results you earned. Instead of ace-ing the general courses. To play it safe, score big. To game the system and get one of the top four honor parts.

Well the real estate blog word meter says we hit the 300 count and have to shut it off. Wrap it up. Put the blog hose end back in the saddle of the holster handle. Screw back on the cap, grab the printed receipt. Yes please, need one for taxes, expense records. And then off to hit the Maine real estate open information highway. Have a super 4th of July celebration with your family and friends!

Maine, big state, less people, more natural outdoors. And did I mention she is some kinda drop dead gorgeous? See for yourself, from one by one almost 2000 Maine images, photos, pictures.

Andy, well, the latest and greatest from Google says.. write more words. More words is more Google MILK, so I would rather have the Google Milk than the V8.

Andrew, follow your Google instincts.

Posted by Pat & Steve Pribisko (Keller Williams Greater Cleveland West) about 7 years ago

Andrea .... Extended content...the full meal deal is a shift as other bloggers come on line, hone their skills and compete for those search page indexes.

P and S ... That is the real playground for survival, outside the four walls painted blue and gold for sure.

Andrew - What a beautifully written post!!! I'm so glad it was Featured! You're an American Author among your other talents. I am proud you represent Real Estate Industry for the people from Maine. Thank you for being a true AR Friend to all!

I love the visuals in this post and it was very entertaining to read. Keep up the great writing, regardless of Google.

I like to write for my audience. If I am looking to only please the AR forces that be, I am going to starve. I prefer to write to my potential buyers and sellers. Google seems to be agreeing with my content lately as i have moved up in the SERPS and the phone is ringing with qualified buyers. I like the green that goes along with that.

Wow, your post says a mouthfull doesn't it?  I mean, you need to visualize all those avenues...

Hi Andy..... no one says it as well as you.... you speak the Google language....

To get a gold star you need to water it down. Oh Boy. Easier to game the system.

Wow....can I say it again?  Wow - good post and you are gifted with the written word.  Thank you!

Andy - water it down - probably not!  Great read as always - you get my attention every time!

Andy:  As I changed mortgage companies, the focus of my readers also changed.  I went from being a nationally-capable lender to an IL only Lender with the change.  I can only imagine the time, effort, and potential lost because of it.  Live and learn ...

Pat ... Thanks you for the kind words. We are all in here to learn, share, grow. And more than peddle real estate listings. To have some fun during the education of it all.

Mark ... Illustration...the best way with show and tell using two senses, not just the eyeballs too. Video is king, queen, jack and all the other cards in the deck. SEO bell ringing too!

Janis ... (ching ching) You look good in green. It's not all true what Kermit laments. When "we're in the money"...(broadway tune up and under blog post)

Evelyn ... Mediastreams. Blogs, Videos, Websites, Slow Drip Email, Direct Mail, Local Ads (Gasp) And Weeding, Feeding Them Daily. Work It Girl. Using Your Money Maker.

BT .. Call Home. You know how to tractor beam those buyers, sellers to your bee hive. Preaching to the choir, who teaches us much.

Bill ... It still feels good to collect the gold stars. But there is a group for those posts you know were some of your best and trot right up and grab your own. The Amber Daimond AR Blog Group. For when behind the green sequinned curtain, something gets by the AR staff. Which is pretty rare.

Kim ... Speechless is good. Oh no it's not. You are in sales remember?

Anna ... Give it to you straight, no beating around the bush. Sucker or kidney punches. Got it.

Gene ... You'll find a way to hot wire, re-connect to all the thunder.

I do not do anything more, but have noticed the posts that are featured, from my posts, tend to be the ones that originate from the heart.

Yeah we have been conditioned by Google to go for the gold.  Shame on us if we vary from the road to higher SEO.  SOme days I just don't care but then I do have a business to run and keep successful.

Good morning Andrew - give me SEO over gold stars any time :) But who doesn't love a gold star?

Posted by Wayne and Jean Marie Zuhl, The Last Names You'll Ever Need in Real Estate (Samsel & Associates) about 7 years ago

Every post has at its core a purpose.  The gold star is not the greatest reward but it does make one feel good occasionally.  Of course increased Internet presence is a much more coveted star!

Posted by Gary L. Waters Broker Associate, Bucci Realty, Fifteen Years Experience in Brevard County (Bucci Realty, Inc.) about 7 years ago

Scott .. Get to Maine. Don't stay away so long!

Helen & Larry ...  I'll type slower. (Smile)

Carol ... When you scan and look for what hits you as I'll try some of that, somedays the market report getting featured and something else that could have that gets missed is a head stratcher. Market reports featured, or a copy and paste with no images, no razzle dazzle that get them on a slow news day is just the timing of it all.

Ed ... It is about timing, the amount of sleep, the passion pushing the keyboard. Or not.

Joan ... The ring the SEO bell, it is a sport.

Kristin... Thank you.

John ... It was taming the local and pushing the AR blue and gold...part of the theme in this stream.

W and J ... Both is like surf and turf. Yum.

Gary ... You know your best work, with or without the gold star. Have written some zingers that sizzle but just missed the blog post scan down the left side of the screen. Someone must have been on the phone, in the bathroom at HQ when it hit, went up like fireworks that falred out, disappeared. Got squeaky wheeled into the basement at AR and off radar.

Andy, I enjoyed this post. I blog for my clients: past present and future, whether or not a gold star comes my way.  Great job, gold star and all!

Posted by Sharon Parisi, Dallas Homes (United Real Estate Dallas ) about 7 years ago

Kelle ... Thank you!

THAT ... Gorgeous, natural, and lots of other one word descriptions just begin to scrape the surface.

Debb... Dancing the same, in step. You knowl.

Sharon ... Do the blogging for the right service buyers, sellers. To make the email server red hot, the cell phone to ring a ling non stop. List, market, sell (repeat) Pretty easy process that just takes hard creative work. Consistently.

Hi Andrew! Well, I am a sort of new in AR and some of your post went over my head. Will have to reread it a few times. :) I came to your site purposely to find out for myself ~ What is all this 'GOLD STAR' stuff about?!? It seems lately that people are posting and commenting about this and me?!? Just a neophyte newbie.

Posted by Jane Chaulklin-Schott, TeamConnect Luxury Homes - Orlando, Florida, 32836 (TEAMCONNECT REALTY - (407) 394-9766) about 7 years ago

Jane ... It's the gold star from the teacher for above and beyond. But the gold star is not the real target, or a guarantee the outside world, the real target is going to go ga ga over the blog post. Basically blog daily, fresh content loaded with time, gas, money saving information. Promote your local area events, the individual property listings one by one. Get into video, blog, become a media stream master by harnessing the electrons. All with hunt and peck daily devotion to feed the masses. Being the cub reporter in your area reporting in.
