Growing your own Maine farm land food and peddling the extra for other people to place on their family tables?

Or dairy cattle, hamburg and steak on the hoof with grazing, pastures needed more than fields to plant, cultivate, harvest come fall?

Tree farming in Maine for Christmas trees, or fruit orchards?

To whittle down the possible country property listings in Maine to kick tires on. To carefully sort through and eenie meenie miney moe select the best match, fit with your wallet horsepower kept in mind too.maine farm buildings photo

Hobby farming in Maine could be dabbling in the local open air markets to peddle a little extra produce, eggs, cheese, preserves too.

The excess of what you easily grow, raise and sell, trade, barter with others in the small Maine local community too.

It is the way of life you are after on a Maine farm right?

Fresh air, good physical labor, not being choked wearing a pin stripe tie cutting off air in the windpipe.

Or being squeezed against the wall with the same gasping for air caused by an office desk and trapped inside all day.

Wearing a phone on one ear, feeling a permanent inner tube forming around your waist. From eating the wrong food on the run and too much of it piling up, shortening your life.

Watching your hair disappear, fall out way way too early.

Or what you still wear, sprout turning gray prematurely.

From all the stress in the concrete urban jungle riddled with high cost, crime, pushing, shoving because of all the wall to wall, in your face people.

Everywhere you turn. Just no escaping it. Where you chase the city dollar, life is one big hurry scurry blur.

You need country in Maine, some land to roam, to call your own and to recharge, recuperate.

Hi Andy,

Lovely land up there in Maine.  I just got back from family vacation in the Cape.  We spent a weekend up in Portland.  Did not make it up to Caribou area, it is such beautiful country.  My sister in law is considering selling, (Caribou) and I told her I had the perfect Realtor for her! Will keep you posted if anything moves forward on that.

L and B ... Nice. Very nice.

L times 2 .... All four seasons, always outdoors.

S and D ... The country is waiting, Maine, don't keep her waiting too long, just try and stay away once you visit the first time.

I have to agree, while I love visiting my kids in big cities, the easy life is what I want. No urban jungle!
