Sap Buckets, Ice Out, Maine Spring Arrives Slowly, Methodically.

maine birds nest photo

Maine seasons change slowly because all four are precious, special and we resist letting go.

So Mother Nature lets us take our time. Like a child that is not ordered to stop right this second.

But to finish up, that supper is almost ready. For a gradual segue from season to season  in Maine.

I am glad I get to live in a state like Maine with four distinct seasons to shift it up.

Spend the day to day differently. So nothing gets ho hum or predictable. Not routine. It stays pretty much varied, with the different backdrops, tarps rolled out to create the setting for a rich, full life in Maine.

The state big enough to be a mini van, an SUV over sized, too big for the garage door hole.

That has to be parked outside day and night. Because all the other New England states would fit inside where it's warm and dry easily. With all the the vehicle doors closed tightly. No sound of rushing air from any door not shut properly. Due to a bloated, bulging squeezing action inside. Like over packed luggage that won't zip. Going to sound an alarm. Flashinglights. Sirens. Activate a "tilt light" at check in boarding call. That requires a swipe of a credit card to stop. This is a case of everyone buckled in, happy campers, singing. Due to the sheer size of Maine. The place with all the place called Vacationland.

The state up here in the right hand corner of the country where Maine property listing prices are so low. The selection so vast, varied and kid in the candy store giddiness happens. It is not like this many other places. Getting way way more for plenty less happens all day long.

Tell your story on why you live in Maine, whatever state or burg, village you hail from. Only you are the best suited for the leading role in that script. As for how you do your real estate list and sell, let the buyers and sellers tell that tale. To toot your horn so you don't have to and just stay the tour guide of the area. The peddlier of a wide selection of all types, prices, locations of real estate property listings. Create the buffet to feast on, because inventory is king and controls the real estate market.

Those changes of seasons is something we lack in Florida.  And, I almost miss it.  (-:

Andy, your enthusiasm for your state is infectious.  Spring is my favorite season - like a rebirth of the world outside.

Andy, you certainly have a spring capture for a photo. Our seasons down here are not as defined as yours

Andrew, I don't live in Maine, but it sounds like a great place to live. Four distinct Seasons are a treasure.

Hi Andrew, Maine sounds like a a wonderful place to live from season to season, however I do not like the cold in the Winter. Congratulations on your FEATURED.

Gabe .. Sunshine, sand, palm trees...hard to beat. But I enjoy all four special times of the year Maine provides oh so well.

Michael... caught the birds with the ten day plates right at meal time. It was being air lifted in, mom was circling the lunch counter when I was listing a 100 acre woodlot camp with huge pond recently.

Barbara ... You know from Ricker College days. Have seen the movie, have the t-shirt. It's all preaching to the choir on that ME score.

Lisa... You are in the Maine movie, but get to mow your lawn one week earlier.

Brian ... I am a personal fan, not a paid actor to promote the state. I am where I need to be, can do the most good. like like you holding down the fort in PA.

Ed... Some places have blurred edges, like music that only goes up a few notes, chords but pretty much the same song year round. I like dining on four courses though, and not same ole same ole predictable. Change is good in life, seasons do that in Maine.

Michael ... You should and I can help you with the condition. Come for a day, end up staying a life time once she grabs your heart. Gets into your system and you give up trying to shake it. It's that neat a place.

Kwee .... Winter is not a four letter word....(Andy, illustrate why you say that...show her we don't hibernate, spend the winter on the couch peeling off calendar pages one at a time slow like watching paint dry.) Ok..sit back, toggle this Maine winter happening. Or this trip across the Maine Canadian border. Ok, one more trip down the hill. Hard to ice fish, snow sled, ski and play pond hockey with the kids in Florida! To each his own and if you are cold in Maine, put some clothes on. In hot hot hot, you can only remove so many. Without the authorities getting a little, rightfully so upset.

Well Spring has arrived and I am so Thankful. It has been a wet cold winter and I need sunshine and warmth to be happy.

I know that is has got to be hard in the colder regions of the country. I do know that it is beautiful where you live also..

Ginger ... Thanks for stopping in! Not hard...it is four seasons, four kinds of weather not one, two and that's all she wrote! Winter has sunshine, cobalt blue skies...you just don't wear a tshirt while down hill skiing. That's the spring skiing this time of year, the tail end! I can not do hot, humid and muggy and feel sick, can not work hard because too hot in southern climates. To each his own and you should be where you feel comfortable, best! Or have two places! One here, one in NC! Have a brother who built a new home in Mathews, near Charlotte.

Laura ... I still have my boards in the jeep. Ready for another run and swish swish for spring snow skiing. But thinking spring, clean up and maintenance projects.

Ginny... Thanks for stopping in! I am a personal fan of Maine. Try to show what it is like here to those that are not.
