Andrew, being on the water is the best way I can think of to welcome spring. Bundle up, it might still be a bit chilly in Maine in early May.

L and B ... It is Native American, Maliseet for "Rock's at it's mouth" which is Drews Lake (AKA the harder to spell and day Meduxnekeag)

Malcolm ... Nothing like being on the water or near it for sure. Maine has a slew of lakes, all crystal clean the further North you go where less people, more fish and wildlife around them. Paddle harder to stay warm. We live in Maine and are pretty heat intolerate!
