Marcia ... It's not as much the shooting iron as how you use it. Simple approach works best and saves time. I do not promote using the same still camera for video. And do strongly urge to use the audio channel, not waste it because it is 40% of the experience, connection. You don't want the purr and whirr camera syndrome though if you are going to launch in to video to help market your local area, your individual properties, listings. Why folks are hesitant, have fear of making real estate videos. I have had luck with Sony but have been approached by others to use their product, try it out and blog on it. Lou .... Just watched a tutorial on making the I Phone 4 with two extra lens adaptors in to 14mm but when they instruct the real estate agent to handle the wrong exposures from bright windows by pushing screen I think "dramamine". Your buyers of real estate want the open house tour, but not to have to hang on to something to get around the "sticks and bricks". Video done right is show and tell. Literally. Using the eyeballs and ear drums, two senses are better than one for the out of town, state, country real estate buyer. Thanks Lou and Happy New Year!

I've done a high number of "non-published" video tours when I am out with buyers that are sent to them with a link only they can open.  Just did a tour last week for an out of town renter where there were no photos of the property on line.  They liked it and rented it without ever setting foot inside the door except for virtually.  I agree one size does not fit all and not all home searches like video which we need to be sensitive to as well.  I ask first do they want a photo album or a a video tour before we start.

Cindy ... Good application. We used to shoot videos back before bandwidth allowed uploading, easy linking to burn on CD to mail, take with them to recall a place. Now with over 600,000 views, videos, real video not a slide show has taken off in a big way. You shoot the video thinking this home on the corner of a US highway would be a great office for a lawyer, doctor, hair twister, professional. The next one from a completely different approach with save miles on the mini vans, kids can walk to all the town activities. You have to see the folks in the audience. They have to sense you see them, so they can relate to you, connect with you.
