Three Generation Households...Don't See As Many These Days!

"Good night Jimbob....."  During the depression, on the farm, it was the norm to see mom and dad with family in the front home, and granddad and his sixty year bride in the rear section.  Three generations of family under one roof.  Eleven kids to help with the farming.  Happy home filled with laughter, good food and no one was spoiled.  They all knew they were loved and had a special place in the home and farming operation.  In the cities, similiar "everyone under one roof" for economic reasons too.  With the personal pan pizza drive thru in your Lexus age we live in, before nursing homes and babies born in hospitals, can you imagine a three generation houshold for you? It has lots of advantages and you definitely knew you were from a family that after a days hard work, on the open porch, you heard Grampy tell about when your dad was a mischievous child of nine and got into that scrape down at Mr Green's hardware store...."Need another ice tea there Mildred as I recollect a little?"family farm, living under one roof, mooers realty   Can you imagine leaving the urban area you may live in, heading North to a Maine farm ? | 207.532.6573
