Andrew, I like this and the comments of your hospice worker are profound in the simplicity of the message. Life may not be a beach, but it's not a blackberry either.

Andy,

I feel like I'm there.  You have a great way of describing Maine.  What I love the most is the sounds and the taste.  My 2 week vacation on Sebego Lake was by far on of our top vacations.  It is one we will always bring to the top of mind when looking back on our lives.  Very nicely written post.

Sheila ... You are right. Makes you wonder what the hurry scurry is all about when the basics of family, time with them trumps everything else. Not money.

Cindy ... Sebago Lake is one big one! Top three! Good choice for a vacation, 5999 more to go for your on the Maine lake counter.

Hi Andrew,

You have me sold!  I would love a piece of property like that, but I wish Maine was more accessible for us.  I love your piece here.  Great job.

Nice work.  I went to Bowdoin in Brunswick Maine.  I had the opportunity to live on Orrs Island in a waterfront shack my last year in college.  That year was a turning point for many reasons and only served to forever cement my love of the ocean, cold water lakes, shore-side cabins.  With time, perhaps I'll be able to return.
