Maine Home Under $10,000.... Must Be A Pig Sty, A Dump Right? WRONG.

maine home photo

The Maine home, a ranch with oak floors, two bedrooms and rock solid construction has a newer roof, cedar shake siding.

All for under $10,000. The catch? The state of Maine used it for a forestry ranger's home.

Provided as a perk along with the gun and the badge for the job.

But over the years the rangers, like Maine ministers in a parsonage decided they wanted to build equity.

Own their own Maine home.

So this Topsfield Maine home is being sold. The Maine land and the garage for Maine forestry vehicles, equipment being kept, retained next door. It needs to be moved and we have lots of land to consider as possible sites.

grand lake maine lot

A move you think would be a super intensive task. It would if it involved heading across the Bronx Expressway  in New York during rush hour. But this Maine home is located in Topsfield.

Topsfield Maine, population 225.

So the low boy flat bed, the permits and "wide load ahead" flashing light escorts for a one floor home and the move off its current lot is not as big a deal.

We know the players, understand the process, know the local turf ins and out.

Can find you land handy to this home to make the Maine move easy.

How about on a Maine lake? Lots of lots with water in front of them in Maine. Like this Danforth Maine, a top 3 state biggest waterbodies to the north lake lot.

And low low cost, just like the home we're peddling in this AR blog post. If you are up for the challenge of moving a Maine home, the price is right on this one. Watch the movie. Ask lots of questions.

Maine, one big state, less people but the ones here super friendly, helpful, hardworking and down to earth.

Andrew - pretty cool concept, and good for the rangers for wanting to buy their own place to build equity!

Two bedrooms with 1.6 kids in average family and if one of each flavor makes home get out grown. But for a rental house, for a vacation place when you retire, ideal set up. We have land as cheap as $3500. Have a lot with drilled well, full concrete septic and almost on a river, all landscaped, with storage sheds for $12,900! Has a two bath mobile that can be sold off or kept too. Maine is low cost everything. You don't need a thick wallet, bulging with cash purse to live here. We take money right out of the equation and our fun is low or no cost because we live in four season Vacationland.

Looks like a good investment opportunity. Have a great day and much success in the spring market.
