Maine Real Estate For Sale !

REALTORS Have Sharp "Gut Feeling Instincts" And Corners Of The Eye That Miss Little.

Any profession, not just real estate has individuals sharp as a tack and able to see, hear, feel things that others without the knack or in the wrong profession don't sense, miss completely.

kitty cat christmas tree It is not tied to IQ, it is not because you are specially annointed or dipped in anything to make you shine brighter.

The series of experiences you had growing up, what you were taught and watched along the way. Coupled with the special wiring that is uniquely you make real estate, wearing the "R" right up your alley, or not.

And maybe where you live, practice real estate has something to do with it. Peddling property listings is not done the same way in every market right?

The path you took to get this far along the real estate trail and avoid backing in to a cactus, slipping in to quicksand or getting a snake bite.

On Active Rain you read a lot of blog posts on real estate agents, brokers, REALTORS who debate if they are in the right profession. The best way to tell is like the experience on a tread mill, during a heart stress test. Crank it skyward and then as the pressure mounts, the effort to walk and talk increases, you quickly know if you want to hop off. Or holler, "Give 'er more gas, I can take it !" with the thrill of a Lance Armstrong wearing the yellow shirt.Pumping for all he is worth and picking up steam, speed. You know if you are in your right place in a do or die situation.

Just liking houses is not enough. Real estate is a business...strip away the listing process, the photos, videos, copy and mls insertions, open houses discipline. And underneath it all is a numbers game. The time and money you spend on the effort to market property, your area, your brand and is there any time, money left over? Your profit is in your expenses of time and money. If you spend, waste both like a drunken sailor, are not on top of new ways to be more efficient and are constantly cruising your facility, looking for slack...well now. Hand that lady, gentlement the employment section of the local paper will you? Maine, wake up, start the dream. Listings in Maine to eyeball, listen to, watch. Find your piece of Vacationland property.

Andy.....nice post....this business is not for everyone.....but the market corrections usually take care of that.....if this is your niche, you will develop that knack of having a gut instinct that is worth a bundle....if you're a natural at it, it will all shine through eventually....the longer you do it, the easier it becomes until it's like second nature....just as you have experienced.

Hello Andrew and I have to agree with Barbara above and some just don't have it & some do ... "Great Post/ Plug" for Agents!

Barbara...Great guitar players, auto mechanics, diamond cutters and brain surgeons can not always tell you why they excell...just that the passion for what they do is the kick, the drug, the spark. It completes them. Yoda says "Second nature it becomes, yes."

Robert....Fire up the Clash song..."Should I Stay Or Should I Go."  Let the words sink it nice and slow.

Right, Andrew. It takes a while to run through all phases of what being a Realtor offers and those that stick with it have a sense for it. Raise the ramp, let's go for it.
