Maine Real Estate For Sale !

One Son In Washington DC Did Not Have School Yesterday..GW College Closed.

Alex says "Dad, I think they only have two or three snow plows down here in DC."

"Nothing like Maine's snow covered me boyhandling of snow." He says cars are creeping along at 5 miles per hour. And students had a little snow ball fight to celebrate, enjoy yesterday being a snow day. Son alex is the one in the slide show with the yellow flag, tan jacket, ear tab bomber furry hat.

Other college son in Colorado Springs and heading to Breckenridge to ski with a break between modules at Colorado College. The funny part is here in Northern Maine, we have been missing the giant storms each son has been getting. Kind of jealous and needing the white stuff for skiing, snowsledding.

I can see the front lawn, bare and snowless and trying to spurt green color in the strong sun this afternoon. It has been unseasonably warm and light snow wise so someone's playing with the country's snow controls. Rediverting and doing snow dances to make areas normally snow free not that way this year.

Less snow, lower rivers for spring canoe and kayak races too this spring. But wait, winter is far from over.

Cause and effect.

In Maine, we have a fleet of snowplows. Training with clearing, driving in snow. And it's not very long before roads, driveways are all cleaned up after a storm. Business as usual. Usually but.....

I cant help but feel pity for everyone out there buried under so much snow. Makes me remember not to take our weather out here in California for granted!

Andrew, it was novel for a while and brought me back to my college days in Maine.  However, it's not as much fun after 4 storms and 50" of snow in 10 days.

You can lose a shovel with snow piled up as tall as you are Craig.

Christine, weather, something you can not control.

Indera, you are so right. Kids, family is the most important event, privledge, blessing anyone can have. Kids know how to have fun, make us better people, keep us honest.
