Maine, Your Fun Here Does Not Cost Hundred Or Thousands Of Dollars.

When you live in "Vacationland", the great four season outdoors surrounds you in Maine.

All you have maine rock sign, entering baxter park meto do if you live out of state is get here. The options are many, the cost is very minimal. For example, you live in New England...around Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont...and you study the calendar. Through out the year, there are a slug of three day weekends that could easily be stretched in to a fourth day going in or coming out.

So you need a low cost spot to explore, discover Maine from. In Aroostook County, for $3490 you can buy an acre in Amity Maine we just listed yesterday. It's on a side road that dead ends pretty handy to the Canadian border.

It is one town north of the Grand Lake / Million Dollar View region. Which means water to fish, boat, swim and trails to snowsled, atv four wheel. You may have a travel trailer already to just park on this land.

In time, put up a little log cabin with an open front porch.

There are three local Houlton Maine log home / cabin makers right here. And 2/3 of any job is the labor. Bring your brother in law, college buddies and put up a modest, simple place.

Or consider this $14,900 cabin that is ready to roll in the same Amity Maine. $14,900. Watch the Maine cabin/camp video.

Or you could consider this Amity Maine land with well, septic, lawn all in, garage..everything but the camp, home, travel trailer you haul up to set up. Think of you on a Wednesday night after work in Southern New England. And the car is packed with food, camping gear, the tent and you are climbing on Interstate 95 with the kids bee-lining North to Aroostook County. The cost is gas, some food but you already have a place that did not cost all out doors to explore that four season outdoor. Hike, snowshoes, ice fish, water ski, hunt, or just relax while you putter on the camp you buy. Or the small inexpensive Maine land parcels you can purchase, own. And still juggle the daily finances where you live full time.

Hi, Andy. We seem to be on parallel tracks....this part of Tennessee seems so much like your part of Maine. I am just about to write a post on the low cost of living here, based on my own experience.

You can have fun without wheel barrows of money. Maine has the great outdoors in our backyard like Tennessee. Just getting here and owning a little something is the key. You can not have this much serious fun for so little money everywhere else in the nation. Thanks for popping in Leslie. Maine, Simple Living.
