Andrew, I'm from Massachusetts and we spent our summer vacations in Maine on Lake Sebago.  I have not been up there in years but I expect it still has a small town feel.  Like you said, Lots of space!  I wish you lots of sales for people needing some down time.

I's starting to really like how much home and space I get for my money in Maine. That really loks like the place to be.

Barbara, Sebago Lake and the other 6000 lakes we have are gorgeous and affordable. The further north in Maine you go, the faster the price on waterfront goes down. You need to travel further to get more for less and not many people do that do you get uncrowded real estate at the same time. Don't get me wrong people are great. But you have to be able to get away from folks once in awhile..to climb a mountain, fish an early morning lake or stream, to just enjoy the quiet 4 season beauty of Maine.

Tomster, I am sure WI is similiar weather, terrain, people wise in your lower populated areas. Maine land values are way under market and I think Aroostook County is a sleeping giant of under priced property. Don't tell any one okay? (whispering) Thanks for popping in.

Andrew

The home looks like a great opportunity with the 17.5 acres.

Good luck and success.
