Maine Real Estate For Sale !

Not Every Home In Maine Built With Single Studs Of 2X4, 2x6 Lumber.

Stick built homes always gives the impression of tooth picks or twigs used to construct the place.

But stick built, homes with studs filled with insulation, sided and with roof trusses craned into place are not the only kind you find dotted the Maine landscape. Log homes are huge and we have several local Maine log home companies right in our backyard. Why? 91 percent of Maine is wooded, the cedar, pine grow here. No trucking it eight states away. Here's an example of a 15 acres Patten Maine property for sale with major league view, cathedral ceilings, 2 baths and huge wrap around deck. Near Baxter State Park too! $139,900.

And brick like the Three Little Pigs should have started out with. We get those too but rarely. The downdown commercial buildings are brick solid like this one that you could live in and run commercial stores for rental income. $299,900.

Regardless all the real estate in Northern Maine is a third or more less than the prices you see in your urban area. And the folks that live here are friendlier, fewer in number too!

And this brick example of a two screen theatre with commercial rental space, food service outlet for $410,000.

Here's a brick home that's cute, clean, stylish and with clean hot water heat, rear deck, private yard, hardwood floors. $70's!

Cedar is the way to roll..denser, checks and warps less or not at all. The giant post and beam variety home is neat is one just listed on 100 acres.
