Maine Real Estate For Sale !

No One Watches Real Estate Videos..Why Bother Producing Them...(Yeah Right).

It's easy to say you don't need to do something new when you are not doing it, or seeing the huge results.

Here's a simple put together 100 acre low key video about a Maine log cabin for sale. Over 5000 views. Yeah..and that is just the tally on the youtube views, not counting realtor.com upload and the slew of other places you salt and pepper and Johnny Appleseed the clip to attract attention, show the property right now.

Still not doing video? It's probably a passing fad like color tv or the talking picture shows. Why put the effort into video to brand your office, show the property inside out and let the 85% of cyber buyers searching online meet up in a low key, hear your voice/see your face sort of way?

Boy you sure are smart selling real estate in 2009 and not doing video, keeping it simple and same old same old. Do you hand write your contract too and walk the carbon copies into the lawyers because fax machines/efax are both fads too right?

Do you use a tripod when you take your videos? Or just a steady hand? I need to do videos, but haven't been able to make the investment into the camera at this time. I love your comment about the passing fad -

If you are pulling back from a large vista like lake panorama, tripod needed, but if you are panning slowly and giving sense of we are there, walking in without causing vertigo, it can be more natural. You see many of the realty shows after the raw, live, uncut keep the camera running you are there approach. This is not a forty million hollywood production..it's a simple easy to put together video to showcase the place, get the person inside, around the property now...not three days or three months from now or never. Our viewers are six states away and debating the low low price but the 8 hour drive...the video gets them in on their timeframe..10pm at night and they tour six places, and watch five local videos. That is what they are buying..the area. They can buy a house, cabin, land anywhere but what is the flavor of this area..show me the place before I get there to decide if I even bother. DO VIDEO! Use the loop on your regular digital for now. The early ones will be simple, borderline crude but it gets better with practice..like other things, riding a bike, etc.

Cool. Thanks for the advice Andrew. I'll get working on that with my digital and get something done!
