There's a song by Billy Joel that says "If you want to have a hit, you have to make it quick, so they cut
it down to 3:05."
The same applies with real estate video. Round up your listing videos, get them uploaded, broadcasting the message about the property, area, brand you market day in and day out. Not just the most expensive real estate listings. Video the ones you want to sell, need to sell to buy groceries, put shoes on the kids's feet.
With video you have a machine gun approach, spraying information at 30 frames per second and hitting deeper using all five senses of the viewer. Hate to use the expression but it's true..that's the real estate target. And you want lots of real estate "ordinance" spraying up and down, all around that target to get their attention, to penetrate and make your properties memorable. A video experience that causes them to email, call and visit to ultimately buy the property.
With still images and a few lines of copy, you have single shot hunting going on for a real estate buyer. Not much of an impression, just a pin prick and not so memorable. But everyone else does it that way..has for years, why do I have to change? You don't. But you should have long before now. To avoid it, put it off, to wait for a rainy day, an opportune time.
Not doing real estate video. Is that representing, marketing the best you can with over the top, ferocious "fire in your belly" all out, full throttle effort and passion? No it is not.
You are the local real estate professional, a Realtor that loves your job right? Then "fade to black" after "3:05" as Billy says or in this latest case I created, 3:15. Real estate video peppers the buyer from all directions and plants more "desire-get-into-action mental seeds" than just a couple images and few lines of blah blah blah, same old copy about the real estate listing. Video showcases the area, brands the real estate broker, puts the buyer at the propert. And they walk thru with you as you talk one on one to them, not at them. Think of not showing the place one buyer at a time, but hundreds of buyers each day to get that property under contract, with your sale pending panel screwed on top of your real estate sign quickly. That's the idea right? Time is money and your seller, buyer needs to get moving...literally, no? A real estate "capsule", mini-series starring your newest ME listing video that you are excited about, telling the world about...wandering around and thru with the video open house where no one has to take off their shoes. And they can tour the places anytime 24-7, anywhere in the world..over and over until it "feels like home". Friends, families, bankers, neighbors can all get a link to see the place which is especially important if the extra viewers are the ones putting money into the purchase, making it happen for the new buyer. Real estate video...don't just talk about someday, you'll look into it if you have time. It
saves time, and buyers / sellers demand it. Maine, get here quick as you can. What are you waiting for?

live? If you travel a long distance to work in a city, living in the suburbs because of the home price tags being lower the further out you go, that drive is a stressor. You are upset with the long line of traffic and breakdown ahead on the the way in this morning. And slowly like a pressure cooker, getting uptight, upset, angry. You know there is nothing good that comes out of the anger. You also now know you should have left earlier for work or taken a different route. die for, drop dead gorgeous property. Luscious, succulent, explosive flavors like these Maine raspberries picked and eaten ravenously. Our job as real estate professionals is not peddling property that when you come back to your senses is not what the buyer thought he/she/they saw, experienced during the fun and games leading up to the purchase. Just before everything went somewhere in a hand basket when the real estate courtship stopped.
